One of the most important pieces of protective gear that your child needs on the field is an athletic mouthguard. Without it, their jaw and teeth could be at risk of becoming broken or severely damaged, causing an unexpected visit to the ER or emergency dentist. We offer customized sportsguards to fit your little one’s unique teeth to provide them with optimal protection so they can stay safe and concentrate on the game.

If we notice that your child is starting to develop some dental decay, we can put out the fire with silver diamine fluoride. We’ll brush the antimicrobial liquid on their at-risk teeth to help stop the current cavities from developing any further. This approach is non-invasive, pain-free, affordable, and fast, so your child won’t have to spend too much time in the treatment chair.

Many parents aren’t aware that their children have three thin tissues in their mouths that are necessary for easy feeding, speaking, and breathing. One is located under their tongue, which connects it to the floor of their mouth, and two others that attach the lips to the gums. When these are overgrown, they can make it difficult for your child to feed. Using our soft tissue laser, we can simply loosen or snip these troublesome tissues, providing your child with improved oral function and optimal comfort.

If your child is experiencing severe pain in a tooth or swelling and redness around it, it could be a sign that the inner nerve tissue, called the pulp, has been damaged and needs to be removed. While every situation is unique, we typically recommend pulp therapy to save the tooth and avoid an extraction. This is because when a child loses a primary tooth too soon, it could result in their adult ones growing in misaligned.
