Dr. Kevin Mueller
After spending over 20 years serving patients across El Salvador, Mexico, and Texas, Dr. Francisco Recinos brings his extensive experience and passion for dentistry to Arizona Smile Design. Drawn to the opportunity to serve a new community—and to be closer to his family here in the Valley—Dr. Recinos is excited to make Phoenix his new home. Today, he combines his background in general dentistry, prosthodontics, and advanced restorative techniques to help patients achieve the healthy, confident smiles they deserve.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Recinos has always been driven by a desire to help others and make a meaningful impact on people’s lives. Dentistry offered the perfect blend of science, precision, and artistry—allowing him to restore function, improve confidence, and build long-term relationships with the patients he serves. Over the past 20 years, this passion has only grown stronger, motivating him to continue learning and providing the highest level of care possible.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Originally from San Salvador, El Salvador, Dr. Recinos earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the Evangelical University of El Salvador in 2004. His dedication to education led him to further specialize in advanced procedures, completing a Certificate in Prosthodontics at the Intercontinental University of Mexico City in 2009.
To strengthen his skills even more, he pursued a Certificate in Advanced General Dentistry at the University of Texas Health San Antonio in 2016. He later joined UT Health San Antonio Dental School as a Clinical Assistant Professor, training future dentists and refining his expertise in restorative and prosthodontic care. Beginning January, Dr. Recinos will also be expanding our services with extractions, implant placement and restoration, and advanced prosthodontic treatment.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Family is at the center of Dr. Recinos’ life. He recently moved to Phoenix to be closer to his extended family in the Valley of the Sun and is excited to make the community his new home.
He is married and the proud father of three children, and he enjoys spending as much time as possible with them. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Recinos appreciates quiet, meaningful moments with his loved ones and values staying connected to his roots and culture.
